When the Institute first contacted Lion Publishing to inform them that their Children’s Bible in 365 Stories contained inaccurate and inflammatory statements about the Jewish people, their initial reaction was one of surprise. They informed us that the manuscript had originated in England and was part of a licensing agreement for publication in America.
Their U.S. editor sent our correspon-dence and recommendations to the editorial director in England. After several years of discussion, a successful resolution was reached. Happily, Lion has used all of the Institute’s recommendations in their newly revised edition. Comparisons of their prior and new editions are shown here.
This new version is a major accomplishment. Over one million copies of this Children’s Bible are now in print.
